At this point, I got plenty of suggestions as to how I could distract my mind from the suffering. After being in that zone for a year, I decided to observe my pain in detail. This was my first successful step towards turning inwards and being self-aware. But before that, it was even more important to realize that in order to heal any lifestyle disease, the shift of thoughts and beliefs must happen, as they are the true source of any pain.
Believe me, such a positive shift is in nobody's control, but yours. You have to do it for yourself, no one else can do it for you.
When I decided to face the pain head-on, I was amazed to discover every minute experience and sensation of how my back felt. This detailed observation helped me understand every link of the unpleasant experience. This experience helped me in adding a lot of clarity and in planning my healing strategies step by step. This was when the seed of possibilities was planted in my mind, and then I noticed that the right people started approaching me out of nowhere offering me bits of hope and possibilities of healing. This helped me pull myself together.
“When we suffer in pain, we feel separated from ourselves and our own body, and then we disconnect and discontinue being who we are”. These people, who were no less than God’s messengers for me, helped me plan my exercises, diet, and also helped me reconnect with myself. Eventually, I started realizing exactly why all of this had happened to me. Our life experiences take us back down our own memory lane to make us realize how, when, and where things went wrong. There are going to be people who may not like us or who make life difficult for us. My gratitude to all such people as well, because these people helped me discover the strength within.
Many great souls have touched my life in their own subtle ways. My heartiest gratitude to all those who witnessed my healing journey by being present through my thick and thin. These great souls have guided and mentored me to discover the best version of myself in my healing journey from a slipped-disc patient to a Yoga Practitioner.
